Brisbane and Melbourne commutes expose retry storms that simulators miss. We send cohorts through short field sessions with scripted tasks: resume playback, complete a purchase, or sync offline notes. Observers log dropped frames and spinner durations without shaming participants.

Findings feed into our Mobile API Contract Workshop exercises—teams adjust backoff tables and surface offline banners candidly. We do not collect personal travel data; sessions use anonymised task sheets.

Weather and station Wi-Fi vary seasonally, so we rerun samples before major releases. If you cannot travel, partner with remote colleagues in different cities and swap screen recordings with consent.
